The story

The afternoon has slipped into evening, but no one has cleared the table. Two orange drinks catch the final sunlight beside olives, small plates and a glowing lantern. Beyond the terrace, striped cushions and beach umbrellas lead toward the sea, where boats drift under a burning sky. Bougainvillea hangs over the scene, and the conversation seems to have wandered somewhere just beyond the frame. The beach is slowly settling down, without quite saying goodbye.
