The story

The morning has already warmed the stone terrace. A silver coffee pot stands among cups, orange juice, croissants, fruit and a small jar of jam. Lemon branches cast moving shadows over the striped tablecloth. Beyond the low wall, terracotta roofs descend toward a bright blue bay and distant mountains. The chairs are empty, but breakfast seems to have been interrupted only for a moment. There is no reason to rush.
