The story

The door is barely open, but the inspection has already begun. A black cat peers into the bathroom with the unwavering attention of someone who considers every closed door a personal challenge. The tiled floor, quiet furnishings and warm painted walls offer an ordinary domestic setting for an entirely familiar interruption. There is no emergency and no apparent purpose.
