The story

The carriage is full, the morning is already underway and nobody seems particularly interested in the astronaut standing in the aisle. He holds the pole with one hand and a briefcase with the other, dressed for a journey considerably longer than the next stop. Around him, commuters continue reading, listening and waiting. The extraordinary has arrived on public transport and, apparently, remembered its ticket.
